Try free range ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.

Equipment Needed

Measuring cups and spoons, large mixing bowl, knife, cutting board and a barbecue or grill-pan.


Finely dice the mushrooms, red pepper and onions.

Place the ground beef and all other ingredients in a large bowl and thoroughly mix. 

Divide the mixture into six portions and form into burger patties.

Let the patties rest in fridge for 20 minutes before cooking.

Grill the burger patties to preferred level of doneness. When the patties are done place the toppings and condiments on top. Wrap the patties with lettuce or place on a whole grain bun.

Dress with toppings of your choice:

Brain booster mayo
Yellow mustard
Sliced tomato
Sliced red onion
Sliced pickles
Sliced avocado
Alfalfa or broccoli sprouts
