Equipment Needed

Measuring cups and spoons, brush, food processor, knife, cutting board, baking sheet and aluminum foil.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°.

Place the peeled garlic cloves on a sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Fold the foil into a package and roast in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until the garlic is soft and brown on the edges.

While the garlic is roasting, place the remaining ingredients into a food processor and purée until smooth.

Add the roasted garlic cloves and purée once more.

Cut the pita bread into bite-size triangles.

Microwave the garlic butter for 20 seconds to melt it.

Brush the pita triangles with the melted butter and toast in the oven at 375° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

While the pita triangles are still warm, serve with the freshly made hummus. Store the hummus in the fridge for up to one week.
