QUICK TIP

If you don’t have an air fryer, use a convection oven set to 425°F for 20 to 30 minutes. Be sure to use a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Equipment Needed

Air fryer or convection oven, bowl, can opener, knife, chopping board, parchment paper, measuring cups and spoons

Instructions

Tuna bites:

In a bowl combine the can of drained tuna, shredded cheese, egg, dry chives and a few twists of fresh black pepper. Mix thoroughly and then form into 4 equal sized patties. Place onto parchment paper and air fry at 420° for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and crispy. Flip 3/4 of the way through.

Tartar sauce:

Dice the dill pickle and capers as finely as possible. Transfer to a bowl and add the mayo, lemon juice, caper juice, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. Mix well. Store in the fridge until the tuna bites are ready.

You will have extra tartar sauce leftover for the next batch of tuna bites.
