My fitness journey or “transformation” started in 2014 when I was in my first year of college. I had reached my heaviest weight of 250lbs.

It got to the point where I didn’t recognize myself, and I didn’t know who I was.

To lose weight, I started by adopting unhealthy habits – I was skipping meals, over-exercising and not taking care of myself or my body.

I worked at a fast-food restaurant, and with the staff discount, I was eating there every day. I had every excuse to stick to my unhealthy ways.

In 2016, I changed college programs and started in the personal support worker course. I was sitting in class, learning about how to care for other people. Meanwhile, I wasn’t caring for myself. It was the kick in the pants that I needed.

I slowly started educating myself on vegan nutrition and exercising healthily. I got my first gym membership, and I started weight training. It very quickly turned into a passion and changed my life.

In the past two years, I’ve completely changed my appearance, got my personal training certificate and changed careers. I became vegan and finally started to care about how I treat myself and my body.

I’ve lost over 100lbs so far, and I feel better than ever. At the moment, I am training to become a bikini competitor. I now work at Goodlife Fitness, and I still can’t believe it! If you would have told me 5 years ago that this would be my life, I would not have believed you! But now, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
