It's been quite a year, to say the least. The global pandemic has caused significant changes in our daily lives, and the fitness industry is no exception.

Below are some high-level safety reminders to help you do what you can to protect yourself, your fellow Members, GoodLife Associates and the community.

Pre-gym checklist

Preparation is key. Before you hit the gym there are a few advance steps Members are asked to follow.

Book your next workout, or Group Fitness class, in advance and give yourself the time and space you need to have a great workout. Booking ahead will help you avoid crowds and long lineups when you arrive at your Club. You can do this on the GoodLife Fitness website, or download our app for a simple, convenient experience.

By the way, the app generates a unique barcode, allowing you to scan into any GoodLife Fitness location using only your smartphone — making it easier and safer for you to access your Club.

Lastly, be sure to check our on-demand workout library and plan out your week of workouts in advance. This is great for Members who want to reach their fitness goals, no matter where they are. From cardio to strength training, we have everything you need to stay fit and motivated.

Bring the essentials 

Coming prepared and dressed for your workout will maximize your scheduled workout time.

Quick tips 

Many elements of your Club visit have changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of those things is having to book your workout in advance and show up for your designated workout time.

We want you to be able to make the most of your time, and that means efficiency is key. We've compiled some tips below that will help you maximize your time in the gym.

During your workout 

Guidelines can vary by region, so it’s important to know what's expected of you before you go. Click here for a detailed colour-coded break down of mask requirements. Our masking requirements are based on local government and public health regulations; however, we encourage everyone in our Clubs to wear a mask as much as possible.

Take responsibility for your own physical distancing in the Club and maintain a safe distance from others, whether you’re wearing a mask or not.

Wipe down equipment before and after use, even when working out with people from your household.

By following these measures you can contribute to a safer experience for all of our Members and Associates.
